An Anjouan license has no backing from the government of the Comoros. The Central Bank of the Comoros calls the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority, the body Anjouan Gaming says it operates under, a fictitious structure that grants licences illegally. It has referred that authority to prosecutors. The Anjouan register still lists 1,252 licence numbers and 3,467 casino brands in our data, among them BC.Game and BetBolt. On 19 October 2026 The Guardian reported that the Comoros government has asked the United Kingdom for help.
What the Comoros Central Bank says about Anjouan licences
The Central Bank of the Comoros treats island licensing bodies as illegal. Its communique, republished by the Comoros Ministry of Finance on 10 December 2025, warns the public about these structures.
- Mwali International Services Authority, on the island of Moheli.
- Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority.
- Anjouan Corporate Services.
The Central Bank says the licensing of banks and financial institutions in the Comoros is its exclusive power. Every other structure is illegal and open to prosecution. It has already gone to the prosecutors in Moroni, Mutsamudu and Moheli. It also asks regulators in other countries to report these bodies.
The communique speaks of banks and financial institutions. On gaming the Central Bank spoke to The Guardian. A spokesperson said the regime was run by people using the name of the Comoros to give themselves an appearance of legitimacy. The government told the paper that British citizens have been identified and that it has asked the UK government and police for help.
Who issues Anjouan gaming licenses
Anjouan Licensing Services Inc. runs Anjouan gaming licences, according to both Anjouan websites. Anjouan Gaming names it as the designated administrator. The Offshore Finance Authority site says that Anjouan Corporate Services marketed its licences for many years. As of June 2023, it adds, Anjouan Licensing Services Inc. handles gaming licences. That firm is responsible for administration, due diligence and compliance. Every Anjouan gaming licence number in our data starts with ALSI.
The two Anjouan sites do not fully agree. An older Offshore Finance Authority page, last edited on 14 June 2023, still tells gaming applicants to send their forms to Anjouan Corporate Services Ltd and the Gaming Board of Anjouan.
The UK company behind Anjouan Corporate Services
Anjouan Corporate Services is run from London by a UK company. Its website, anjouancorporateservices.com, names ACS Global Custodian Ltd in its disclaimer. Companies House lists that company under number 10741133 at Gable House, 239 Regents Park Road, London N3 3LF. The website sells a licence and company package for £19,000 a year, covering brokerage, crypto, finance and insurance licences. Payment goes to a UK Barclays account or in USDT.

The figures come from the company’s unaudited small company accounts, filed on 19 August 2026. A director told The Guardian that the company has not sold, issued or provided gaming licences since its current owners took over in 2023, and that this work had passed to another provider.
Casinos in the news that hold an Anjouan license
Four brands named by The Guardian and by ABC News in Australia hold Anjouan licences. All four records read valid on 19 October 2026.

What an Anjouan register entry tells a player
An Anjouan register entry proves only that Anjouan Gaming issued a licence. It does not prove that the Comoros state recognises that licence, and no national regulator stands behind it. There is no independent dispute service. A licence also never reaches players in another country. In the UK a casino needs a Gambling Commission licence and must honour GamStop self-exclusions. How to check an Anjouan casino license
- Copy the exact web address of the casino, including the ending such as .com or .io.
- Type the brand into the search box on our homepage. It shows every register and block list that names it.
- Compare the licence number on the casino site with the one in the register. Anjouan numbers start with ALSI.
- Check that the web address you use is listed under that licence. Sister domains are often missing.
- Check whether your own country licenses the casino. An Anjouan licence alone means no local regulator protects your deposit.
